ERIE, Pa., June 2, 2021-Erie Insurance(NASDAQ: ERIE) is ranked number 347 on the 2021 Fortune 500 list of largest American corporations, based on total revenue for the 2020 fiscal year.

Erie Insurance moved up 29 spots on the 2021 business scorecard, marking the 18th year ERIE has made the Fortune 500 list. ERIE first debuted at #454 in 2003.

'It's an honor to once again be included on the Fortune 500 list of America's largest companies,' said Tim NeCastro, president and chief executive officer of Erie Insurance. 'While we focus our efforts on being the best company, not the biggest, we're proud of this testament to ERIE's continued financial strength and 96-year commitment to being above all in service.'

ERIE commemorated two other significant company milestones in 2020. In April, the company celebrated its 95th anniversary and marked its 25th year on the NASDAQ in October.According to a Fortune news release, this year's Fortune 500 marks the 67th running of the list. In total, Fortune 500 companies represent two-thirds of the U.S. GDP with $13.8 trillion in revenues (down 3%), $859 billion in profits (down 30%), $32.7 trillion in market value (up 60%) and employ 29.1 million people worldwide.
