Escorts Limited Reported sales of tractors and construction equipment results for the month, quarter and financial year ended March 2022. For the March month, the company sold 10,074 tractors as against 12,337 tractors sold in March 2021, a drop of 18.3% year-on-year. Domestic tractor sales were at 9,483 tractors as against 11,730 tractors in March 2021. Export tractor sales was at 591 tractors against 607 tractors sold in March 2021. Construction Equipment Segment (ECE) sold 525 machines against 680 machines sold in March 2021, a drop of 22.8% year-on-year.
For the quarter, the company sold 21,895 tractors as against 32,588 tractors sold in same period of 2021, a drop of 32.8% year-on-year. Domestic tractor sales were at 20,272 tractors as against 30,930 tractors in same period of 2021. Export tractor sales was at 1,623 tractors against 1,658 tractors sold in same period of 2021. Construction Equipment Segment (ECE) sold 1,286 machines against 1,604 machines sold in same period of 2021, a drop of 19.8% year-on-year.
For the year, the company sold 94,228 tractors as against 1,06,741 tractors sold in 2021, a drop of 11.7% year-on-year. Domestic tractor sales were at 87,043 tractors as against 1,01,848 tractors in 2021. Export tractor sales was at 7,185 tractors against 4,893 tractors sold in 2021. Construction Equipment Segment (ECE) sold 4,117 machines against 3,913 machines sold in 2021, an increase of 5.2% year-on-year.
