'Following the COVID-19 pandemic, Chonburi province has become one of the top controlled provinces due to high number of infections. We are part of this community, and we want to make a positive difference where we stay,' said Somboon Ruamkonthong, safety security health and environmental manager of Esso Sriracha Refinery. 'Through these efforts, we are glad to provide necessities on the occasion of the 15th 'Day of Caring' that will help those with the most needed such as senior citizens, disabled persons and bedridden patients. Our employees reached deep in their hearts to give funds and pack up the necessities for distribution.'

On this occasion, Somboon Ruamkonthong (Upper row-4th from right), Esso safety security health and environmental manager, and Dr.Taweesak Bunluesin (Upper row-3rd from right), Esso director, presented the caring bags to the leaders representing 11 communities surrounding the Refinery. Santi Siritanyong (Upper row-5th from right), deputy Laem Chabang City municipality mayer, also kindly presided over the event which was held at Muang Thong meeting room, Laem Chabang Municipality office.

In this regard, Dr. Taweesak added, 'This continued contribution has showed the strong level of care that our employees have for the surrounding communities. Employees have joined in the bag preparation and donation efforts. This is just one of the many ways we are supporting the communities and working to get through this situation together.'

The Day of Caring is part of Esso Refinery's continuous corporate citizenship together with employees and families which included volunteer activities such as education enhancement programs through learning playgrounds, environmental conservations in marine life, coral reef restoration and forestry clean-up, relief assistance, and many others for sustainable development.
