Press Release | Contract in China | Bordeaux, 29 January 2015

Europlasma enters the Chinese market Europlasma, a French company with a global reach that builds, designs and operates plasma solutions for renewable energy generation and hazardous waste recovery, announces an order for a fly ash (from treatment of fumes) vitrification unit from a customer in China.

The Europlasma Group has signed a contract with a Chinese industrial company to supply engineering and equipment for a vitrification unit for fly ash from household waste incineration. The customer's name and the contract amount cannot be revealed at this stage due to reciprocal confidentiality commitments. This 30 tonnes per day capacity plasma unit will be installed in Guangdong province, the most heavily-populated province in the People's Republic of China, and will be delivered beginning of 2016.
Europlasma has recognized experience in vitrifying hazardous waste worldwide, especially fly ash (for which the group developed the first commercial installation in France in the 1990s). After Japan and Korea, this ash vitrification installation will provide the sixth demonstration of Europlasma's know- how in Asia. Europlasma is then planning to duplicate the process across other provinces in China which are also facing problems in managing ash from waste incineration.
Jean-Eric Petit stated: "This contract confirms both the Europlasma Group's expertise in neutralising hazardous waste by plasma vitrification and the relevance of our commercial strategy. The Chinese market appears a promising one for the Group's activities as it is expanding rapidly and is searching for advanced technologies which respect the environment. In particular, the Chinese government and public authorities have taken note of the urgent need to set up long-term industrial solutions to neutralise toxic waste and are keeping a close eye on the deployment of Europlasma's vitrification technology".

The company reminds its Shareholders that it can not be individually answered to requests for information, in accordance with Market Regulations.
