Exor NV said late Thursday that its holding company Giano Holding now has 95.67% of share capital in the publishing group GEDI Gruppo Editoriale SpA.
The company, a holding controlled by the Italian Agnelli family, said it set Aug. 5 as the payment date for 0.46 euros ($0.54) for each ordinary share of GEDI, after a mandatory tender offer ended.
Last December, Exor had agreed to buy from CIR SpA a controlling stake in GEDI, a news network which publishes Italian newspapers La Stampa and La Repubblica.
