SEATTLE (AP) _ Expeditors International of Washington Inc. (EXPD) on Tuesday reported fourth-quarter earnings of $198.6 million.

The Seattle-based company said it had net income of $1.16 per share.

The results exceeded Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of three analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of $1.04 per share.

The logistics services provider posted revenue of $3.17 billion in the period.

For the year, the company reported profit of $696.1 million, or $4.07 per share. Revenue was reported as $10.12 billion.

Expeditors International shares have risen 1.5% since the beginning of the year, while the Standard & Poor's 500 index has climbed almost 5%. The stock has climbed 30% in the last 12 months.
