Exponent Awarded 5-Year NHTSA Contract to Perform Vehicle Safety Research

Exponent has been awarded a 5-year contract by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) to perform vehicle safety research on a broad range of emerging issues related to advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), automated driving systems (ADS), cybersecurity, and functional safety. The contract allows Exponent to compete for individual projects that could include developing technical specifications, generating test procedures, conducting test-track and on-road research, and generally advancing the safety and efficacy of future vehicle technologies. Exponent's research partners include Arizona State University, Intel, kVA by UL, Leidos, SAE International, University of Arizona, and University of Iowa.
