SAN JOSE, Calif. (AP) _ Fair Isaac Corp. (FICO) on Wednesday reported fiscal second-quarter earnings of $68.7 million.

The San Jose, California-based company said it had profit of $2.33 per share. Earnings, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, came to $3.06 per share.

The results topped Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of three analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of $2.76 per share.

The financial services company posted revenue of $331.4 million in the period, also surpassing Street forecasts. Three analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $329.1 million.

Fair Isaac shares have dropped nearly 3% since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Wednesday, shares hit $496.36, a climb of 40% in the last 12 months.
