Falck Renewables S p A : Our sustainability and community engagement approach at WindEnergy Hamburg global event

9 December 2021 - Falck Renewables sustainability and community engagement approach has been highlighted in 'The Pulse' session on WindTV at the WindEnergy Hamburg global event, organized by WindEurope (1-4 December). In a 8-minute video we showcased our commitment for the sustainability of local communities living around our wind farms, through our voice and, more importantly, through the voices of the communities themselves.

From the local trusts and associations we support through benefit funds, to the recent Covid-19 local relief programme, from student support schemes to targeted competitions for community projects, thousands of initiatives have been supported in the 15 years of Falck Renewables' presence in the UK.

The video also stresses the importance of enabling communities to exchange and discuss their practices. This has resulted in the Falck Renewables Sustainable Community website, an online portal we operate for the communities around our wind farms to share local experiences and achievements in the use of benefit funds. Since 2018 we have held our annual Falck Renewables Sustainable Community Forum, an event which allows the communities to discuss experiences and exchange practices.
