UNIQLO has been the Official Clothing Partner of the Swedish Olympic and Paralympic teams since January 2019, under an arrangement originally scheduled to end after four years. The two-year extension will begin January 1, 2023, running through December 31, 2024. During this period, UNIQLO will provide apparel for the requirements of athletes at international sporting events, including travel, training and media appearances, as well as opening, closing, and medal ceremonies, and some in-competition wear.

The extension also includes the Dream Project by UNIQLO, a joint initiative that provides opportunities for the young to learn from and be inspired by top Swedish Olympic and Paralympic athletes about keeping active and healthy, and includes large-scale community events where children participate in a variety of sports to aid their learning and development. The Dream Project by UNIQLO was recently expanded to include scheduled sporting events for Sweden's elementary school students.

'I was truly impressed by team Sweden's performances in UNIQLO gear in Tokyo this year and am delighted to continue supporting the athletes and officials with LifeWear at next year's Beijing Games and in Paris in 2024,' said Tadashi Yanai, Chairman, President and CEO, Fast Retailing. 'When we announced our partnership in January 2019, we had just one UNIQLO store in Sweden and we have since added two more in our drive to strengthen ties there. In developing innovative LifeWear with top Swedish athletes, we continue learning from Swedish culture, which prizes beautiful, simple design and modern lifestyles. We are pleased to extend our partnership with the Swedish Olympic and Paralympic Committees to contribute to society and to realize a mutually-brighter future.'

Peter Reinebo, Chief Executive Officer of the Swedish Olympic Committee, said, 'We are grateful to UNIQLO for its tremendous support. LifeWear has exceeded our expectations, bringing out the best in our athletes. I am confident our extended partnership will strengthen our relationship with UNIQLO and establish new synergies for tomorrow. We will together keep pursuing a shared vision of building a bright and dynamic future, by leveraging the power of sport and clothing.'

Asa Llinares Norlin, President of the Swedish Paralympic Committee, said, 'Our athletes and officials greatly appreciate UNIQLO's support. We very much look forward to continuing our adventure with UNIQLO in Beijing next year and in Paris in 2024. Through this partnership, we can collaborate with all para athletes to open new vistas for sport and together convey the power and splendor of sport.
