Fathom : Verus Title Attracts Industry Veteran to Lead the Midwest Region

Paul Yurashevich, President, Verus Title Inc is pleased to announce that Kathy Hulbert has joined the Company as the Vice President, Midwest Region. In this role, Kathy will be responsible for increasing the Verus Title footprint throughout the region and assist with national compliance duties.

Kathy attended Indiana University's Robert H. McKinney School of Law, earning her Juris Doctorate. After being admitted to the Indiana Bar, Kathy held positions of increasing responsibility serving the state of Indiana as the Deputy Attorney General in the Professional Licensing Division of the Office of the Attorney General, and later, as the Supervising Attorney of the Attorney General's Homeownership Protection Unit.

When the Indiana General Assembly passed a measure intended to fund a brand-new unit to regulate title insurance professionals, she joined the Indiana Department of Insurance and helped build that division. In 2009, Kathy became the Executive Director of the Indiana Land Title Association, where she advocated for title insurance-friendly legislation at the State House. Later, Kathy joined a national underwriter where she was the State Agency Manager for Indiana and Kentucky. She recruited title agents to write title insurance policies on her employer's paper and increased that company's presence in the Midwest.
