Feng Hsin Iron & Steel Co. Ltd. announced earnings results for the third quarter ended September 30, 2018. For the third quarter, the company announced sales was TWD 7,819.251 million compared to TWD 5,129.728 million a year ago. Operating income was TWD 893.658 million compared to TWD 502.254 million a year ago. Net income was TWD 753.254 million compared to TWD 508.098 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share was TWD 1.3 compared to TWD 0.87 a year ago.
For the nine months, sales was TWD 22,789.135 million compared to TWD 17,522.191 million a year ago. Operating income was TWD 2,460.836 million compared to TWD 1,996.631 million a year ago. Net income was TWD 2,122.437 million compared to TWD 1,804.222 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share was TWD 3.65 compared to TWD 3.1 a year ago.
Feng Hsin Steel Co Ltd is a Taiwan-based company principally engaged in the manufacture, processing and trading of steel products. The products of the Company include angle steel, channel steel, steel flats, steel bars, special steel, bar steel, steel rods, formed steel and other steel products, among others. Its formed steel products are applied in construction industry, factory buildings, shipbuilding, transmission and distribution towers, machinery manufacturing, automobile maintenance and lifting equipment, transportation, metal products industry and steel structure, among others. The reinforcement bars are mainly used in construction, civil engineering, structure, foundation and others. Bar steel products are mainly used in screw nuts, polished bars, hand tools, auto parts and others. The Company mainly sells its products in Taiwan and other regions.
