Ferrovial S A : Vertiports appoints Craig Teasdale as vice president of operations

Ferrovial Vertiports, a division of Ferrovial Airports, has appointed Craig Teasdale as its Vice President of Operations. With this addition to the team, Ferrovial Vertiports positions itself as one of the strongest teams in the industry, key for the success on leading the future of air mobility.

Mr. Teasdale will be responsible for planning all operational activities within the network of vertiports that the company is developing to support the introduction of zero-carbon urban and regional air mobility services.

Teasdale has more than 20 years of experience in aviation with leadership and operational roles in the Fixed-Based Operation (FBO) sector. For most of his career, he has worked at Signature Flight Support Corporation, where he was Operations Director and, previous to that, General Manager. More recently, he helped build a new FBO start-up, Propeller Aero Services, where he was responsible for establishing all aspects of the operations.

Working with leading manufacturers and air service operators, Ferrovial Vertiports, backed by Ferrovial's 70 years of transportation infrastructure experience, is developing a series of agnostic vertiports networks in Europe and the United States. These infrastructures are essential to support all-electric, zero-carbon vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) aircraft.

Ferrovial's Vertiports will be intermodal centers integrated into the urban landscape that are adapted to the environment, reduce the acoustic impact, produce no emissions, and meet the highest energy efficiency standards through innovative design. In addition, they will be agnostic and adaptable to serve multiple eVTOL aircraft types and business models.

Ferrovialhas been in the aviation sector since 1998 and has more than 20 years of experience in the investment, development and operation of 33 airports around the world, including the United States, Australia and Chile. It currently has four airports in the United Kingdom. With a 25% stake in Heathrow Airport, it is its main shareholder and industrial partner, and owns 50% of Glasgow, Aberdeen and Southampton airports. In June 2022, it acquired a stake in the consortium appointed to design, build and operate the New Terminal One at New York's John F. Kennedy International Airport in the United States. Ferrovial Airport has also acquired 60% of Dalaman International Airport in Turkey from the YDA Group.
