MATERIAL FACT

FERTILIZANTES HERINGER S.A. ("Company" or "Heringer"), pursuant to the provisions of Article 157, Paragraph 4, of Law 6.404, of December 15, 1976, as amended, and CVM Instruction 358, of January 3, 2002, as amended, hereby announces to its shareholders and to the public in general that the Company became aware of the rendering of a final decision of the lower court under Public Civil Lawsuit 5012238-70.2017.4.04.7000/PR, undergoing at the 11th Federal Court of Curitiba - PR, which discusses the regularity of the licensing process and alleged environmental damages caused by the production plant of SSP (Simple Super Phosphate) located in the city of Paranaguá - PR.

This said sentence ruled the Public Civil Lawsuit as partially justified and established that a new licensing process must be carried out with an Environmental Impact Study and Report ("EIA/RIMA") and public hearing. After that, the SSP production may resume its activities, which are currently paralyzed. The activities related to the fertilizer mixer will remain as usual. The requests for the evacuation and recovery of the allegedly degraded area were not accepted.

The sentence also ordered Heringer to pay a compensation due to the environmental damages in the amount of R$500,000.00, monetarily restated as of the date of the sentence by INPC, plus interest on arrears of 1% per month, as of the damaging event, that is, the issue of the environmental license 5863, on September 21, 2004.

The Company also informs that it will take all necessary measures to implement the new environmental licensing process with the Environmental Institute of Paraná ("IAP") and resume the activities of production of SSP (Simple Super Phosphate).

Finally, the Company reaffirms its commitment with the environmental responsibility and has consistently carried out all measures to improve its production processes at its Paranaguá plant since the beginning of its activities, and will maintain its shareholders, as well as the public in general, up to date on the process.
