Fiera Milano SpA reported consolidated earnings results for the third quarter and nine months ended September 30, 2018. For the quarter, the company reported revenues from sales and services of €35,595,000 against €43,527,000 a year ago. The decrease mainly reflected the absence of a one-off large international congress held in the third quarter 2017. LBIT was €6,498,000 against €12,893,000 a year ago. Loss before tax was €6,546,000 against €13,015,000 a year ago. Loss attributable to the shareholders of the controlling entity was €6,444,000 against €13,365,000 a year ago. Revenues from sales and services in the first nine months of 2018 totaled €193.3 million, an increase of 9% compared to the same period of 2017. The increase was primarily due to the commercial growth of the exhibitions and the consequent higher sales of ancillary services, as well as to the presence of Innovation Alliance, an event that brought together for the first time five multiannual exhibitions covering the entire processing and packaging supply chain. EBIT was €36.6 million compared to negative EBIT of €4.5 million in the same period of 2017. The improvement reflects the growth in EBITDA. Profit before tax was €36,535,000 against loss of €5,320,000 a year ago. Profit attributable to the shareholders of the controlling entity was €36,840,000 against loss of €5,449,000 a year ago.
