Fiera Milano : agrees loans totalling Euro 62 million

FIERA MILANO AGREES LOANS TOTALLING EURO 62 MILLION

• ▪ Euro 55 million, five-year loan granted by a syndicate of leading Italian banks (Intesa Sanpaolo, Banco BPM and UniCredit), backed by a SACE guarantee

• ▪ Euro 7 million loan maturing on 31.12.2027 granted by SIMEST

Milan, 18 February 2021. Fiera Milano S.p.A. ("Fiera Milano") announces that it signed two loan agreements for a total of Euro 62 million. The new funds will help strengthen the Group's financial structure and further support the Group's operations amid persistent uncertainty caused by the Covid-19 pandemic. The above is also related to the execution of the new 2021-2025 Strategic Plan, which will be described to the market on 23 February.

Specifically, Fiera Milano on 17 February entered into a loan agreement with a syndicate of leading Italian banks comprising Intesa Sanpaolo (Agent Bank and SACE Agent), Banco BPM and UniCredit for Euro 55 million, maturing on 31 December 2025. The loan will be disbursed in a lump sum with a grace period of 24 months, with repayment to be made in 12 quarterly equal-capital instalments, starting from 31 March 2023.

This loan is backed by a 90% guarantee issued by SACE as part of the "Guarantee Italy" programme in accordance with article 1 of Italian Law Decree 23/2020, ratified with amendments by Law 40/2020 (the "Liquidity Decree") and SACE's own regulations.

Recently, Fiera Milano has also obtained a Euro 7 million loan from SIMEST granted from the resources available through Fund 394/81(*) to support the internationalisation of Italian exhibition companies.

Luca Palermo, Fiera Milano's CEO and General Manager, said: "The loans allow us to really bolster the Group's financial solidity. The greater financial flexibility, together with ongoing cost containment actions and the new strategic plan, means we can look ahead confidently to the reopening of the sector and to strengthening the role of Fiera Milano as an instrument of Italian industrial policy".
