Fiera Milano continues with the activities set out in the 2018-2022 strategic plan and decisively accelerates its international development by following two guidelines: new projects with foreign partners and strengthening of directly organized events. Fiera Milano starts from China where it organizes professional exhibitions since 2008 through the companies Hannover Milano Fairs China and Hannover Milano Fairs Shanghai, which are part of the joint venture established with Deutsche Messe AG. Fiera Milano in China oversees numerous production sectors including automation, automotive, construction, tourism, environment, energy, instrumental mechanics and industrial handling.

These last two sectors will be enriched by the recent acquisitions of the LASERFAIR and LET China - Logistics Equipment & Technology exhibitions, which become part of the exhibition portfolio that involves more than 20 events in China. LASERFAIR is the most important event in China in the laser and processing industry technologies as well as in the applications in the Industry Automation. The exhibition is held in Shenzhen, the hi-tech capital of the People's Republic of China. LET China is instead the reference point for logistics and transport systems. The event takes place in Guangzhou, Guangdong, one of the most industrialized regions of China with great attractiveness for Italian companies. Through these two operations, Fiera Milano consolidates its presence in China, in a rapidly developing geographical area. The events were acquired through the establishment of two new JVs among the previous organizers and Hannover Milano Fairs Shanghai.

The internationalization activity for Fiera Milano also passes through the strengthening of directly organized events. In Brazil, the Milan-based fair company, through its subsidiary Cipa Fiera Milano, has acquired the remaining 50% of Tubotech, an international biennial event on technologies for the manufacture and processing of pipes, valves, pumps, accessories and components, whose tenth edition will take place in October 2019 in Sao Paulo. Fiera Milano thus becomes 100% owner of the Brazilian event that is the main showcase and the meeting point for the industry. The exhibition takes place at the same time as Wire South America, a leading event in the cable and wiring industry. Together they occupy an exhibition surface area of 20,000 square metres where technological innovations and the latest trends and solutions are presented to a highly qualified audience of 13,000 professionals. In Brazil Fiera Milano, through Cipa Fiera Milano, directly organizes 10 professional events.
