Consubanco, S.A., Institución de Banca Múltiple and Grupo Consupago, S.A. de C.V. agreed to acquire Fisofo S.A. de C.V., SOFOM, E.N.R. from Financiera Independencia S.A.B. de C.V. SOFOM E.N.R. (BMV:FINDEP *) on December 23, 2020. The purchase must be endorsed by the economic competition regulator, Cofece.
Consubanco, S.A., Institución de Banca Múltiple and Grupo Consupago, S.A. de C.V. completed the acquisition of Fisofo S.A. de C.V., SOFOM, E.N.R. from Financiera Independencia S.A.B. de C.V. SOFOM E.N.R. (BMV:FINDEP *) on March 5, 2021. The transaction took effect after the conditions for the closing had been met, including the pertinent approval received by the parties for such purposes by the Federal Economic Competition Commission on February 26, 2021.
Financiera Independencia SAB de CV SOFOM ENR is a Mexico-based financial institution engaged in the microfinancing sector. The Companyâs range of products includes CrediInmediato for employed individuals; Credipopular for self-employed individuals; CrediMama for mothers who have at least one under-age child, and CrediConstruye for construction, maintenance and renovation of homes; CrediSeguro, an insurance policy for permanent disability and medical assistance, and Mas Nomina, mainly intended for free-lance employers. As of December 31, 2011, the Company owned such subsidiaries as Financiera Finsol SA de CV SOFOM ENR, Serfincor SA de CV, Finsol Vida SA de CV, Independencia Participacoes SA and Servicios Corporativos AEF SA de CV.
