(Alliance News) - First Class Metals PLC on Tuesday announced the discovery of its highest grade drill hole intercept to date, at the West Pickle Lake mining project in Ontario Canada.

First Class Metals is a Blackburn, England-based metals exploration company seeking large scale metal discoveries in Canada.

It said that assay results from exploration at its West Pickle Lake site, into which Palladium One Inc has Earn In/Joint Venture rights, showed a 15% nickel equivalent over 2.3 metres.

The company also found an "exceptionally high grade" of 3.1% Ni Eq over 10.1 metres, as well as 13% Ni Eq over 2.3 metres.

First Class Metals said the discovery at the project closely resembled the Palladium One extremely high-grade Smoke Lake Zone, located 20 kilometres to the east.

So far, 20 diamond drill holes have been completed by the company at West Pickle Lake, totalling 4,604 metres.

The company said that drilling had resumed on west Pickle Lake, and that a second drill rig had been added.

First Class Metals was up 8.9% at 15.79 pence per share in London on Monday afternoon.
