First Graphene Limited announced that it has commenced a research project aimed at introducing PureGRAPH® to a range of natural rubber product lines. The Company is confident that its extensive experience and know-how in combining PureGRAPH® with other materials will be directly relevant to natural rubber products that are widely used in industry and consumer products. One particularly large area of interest to FGR is within the mining screen media market. Other markets for natural rubber products include consumer goods, manufacturing, automotive and medical industries. FGR has contracted an experienced rubber consultant for the development project and is working with an established Malaysian rubber processor. Compounded rubber base materials have been provided by a Malaysian process factory under NDA with FGR and initial compounding has commenced in Perth. FGR will be using its industry- leading expertise for the incorporation of PureGRAPH® into natural rubbers to achieve similar improvements experienced in polyurethane, thermoplastics and glass composites to improve mechanical properties of strength and tear resistance and improved abrasion resistance of compounded rubbers. It is expected this research will take between six to twelve months and regular updates will be provided as the development progresses.
