First Bus and First Rail, part of leading transport operator FirstGroup, have pledged their support for the Tomorrow's Engineers Code launched by Engineering UK.

This is a commitment to work toward common goals to increase the diversity and number of young people valuable engineering careers. The Code acknowledges the need to ensure engineering is an accessible career so that the UK has a diverse and insightful workforce enabling the country to thrive.

Begun in October 2020, the Tomorrow's Engineers Code initiative is backed by a broad community of organisations including engineering firms, professional institutions and government departments.

Each of these institutions commit to four pledges regarding funding, designing, delivering and learning from activities based in engineering to achieve the shared goals of the Code.
