Fisher & Paykel Healthcare Director Geraldine McBride has announced her intention to retire from the board with effect from the close of the company's Annual Shareholders' Meeting in August this year.
Ms McBride has served as an independent director on the board at Fisher & Paykel Healthcare since August 2013, and Board Chair Scott St John commends the contribution she has made in the years since.
"Geraldine has been a valuable presence in the boardroom throughout a period of significant growth for our company," said Mr St John. "We have benefitted greatly from her experience, drawn from a successful career working with some of the world's largest technology players. Her intentions were first signalled to the Board earlier this year, and they are in line with our succession process."
This announcement follows the appointment of Cather Simpson to the board as an independent director, effective 1 June.
"With Cather now underway ahead of Geraldine's departure, we consider the board to be at full strength," said Mr St John. "We are looking forward to formally introducing Cather and acknowledging Geraldine's contribution at our upcoming Annual Shareholders' Meeting."
The annual shareholders' meeting will be held online at www.virtualmeeting.co.nz/FPH22 and in person at the Guineas Ballroom, Ellerslie Event Centre, Auckland, New Zealand on Wednesday, 24 August 2022 commencing at 2.00pm (NZST).
