Investment company Flat Capital confirms that a previous investment of approximately SEK 34 million relates to US AI hardware company io Products, which AI giant OpenAI is now acquiring.

"Flat currently has no information regarding any changes in the value of the investment, but will provide further information in accordance with applicable regulations," the company writes in a press release.

Flat Capital's investment was made in December 2024 and is one of four companies in the "mini portfolio."

Io Products was founded by legendary iPhone designer Jony Ive. The company is being acquired by OpenAI for approximately $6.4 billion.
