The Swedish payment solutions company Klarna is aiming to conduct an IPO in the US in April, according to reports in the Financial Times.
An announcement on the listing, which could give the company a valuation of up to $15 billion, equivalent to just over SEK 164 billion, could come next month, according to insiders.
Klarna filed for a listing with the US Securities and Exchange Commission in November, but has not yet chosen a trading venue for its shares.
At its peak, Klarna was valued at $46 billion during the fintech boom of 2021, before its valuation crashed and fell to a low of $6.7 billion the following year.
The company was founded in 2005 and has adopted a buy now, pay later (BNPL) approach.
