Well prepared for the Easter and spring holidays
The Easter weekend is just around the corner and in many cantons this also marks the start of spring vacations. Over Easter, Zurich Airport is expecting an average of 70,000 passengers per day, which amounts to around 70% of passenger traffic before the coronavirus pandemic. Zurich Airport and its partners are prepared for the increased passenger volume. By making sure they are well prepared for their journey, passengers can help to make passenger processes run smoothly, and thus shorten waiting times.

Since travel regulations can differ depending on the destination and airline, it helps to find out about the respective requirements early on. If a Covid test is necessary, it is ideally done the day before departure. There are several testing options at Zurich Airport.

As travel restrictions still apply to many destinations, the check-in time for each passenger can take up to four times longer owing to the Covid documentation check. It is therefore worth planning in more time than usual on your day of departure and arriving at the airport three hours before departure. It is also advisable to check in the evening before or online, if possible. Passengers of the Lufthansa Group who have already checked.in online can drop off their baggage at the self bag drop machines and thus save time and avoid longer waiting times.

Parking and mobility at Zurich Airport
As Switzerland's most accessible location, Zurich Airport is very well served by public transport. If required, travel by public transport can be supplemented by attractive solutions for luggage transport. Public transport offers are also available for very early departure times, such as the "early train" with departure at 4:33 from Zurich main station. There is also a wide range of parking options at Zurich Airport. To make your journey even more convenient, parking can be booked online in advance at attractive conditions.
