Ford Otosan reported earnings results for the year ended December 31, 2016. For the year, the company reported 13% year-on-year rise in net profit. The company said its earnings for the year totaled TRY 955 million, up from TRY 842 million in 2015. Operating profit increased 7% year on year to TRY 1.1 billion during the year, although the operating profit margin was down 11 basis points to 6.1%. Revenues for the year moved up 9% year on year to TRY 18.3 billion.

The company expects the weakness in the domestic market to continue in 2017 and projects local sales to remain in the range of 105,000-115,000 units. However, exports are expected to expand to 270,000-280,000 units. Accordingly, Ford Otosan expects its production to remain between 340,000 to 350,000 units in 2017.
