Formosa Optical Technology Co.,Ltd. announced earnings results for the third quarter ended September 30, 2020. For the third quarter, the company announced sales was TWD 839.632 million compared to TWD 832.415 million a year ago. Operating income was TWD 50.359 million compared to TWD 44.322 million a year ago. Net income was TWD 105.439 million compared to TWD 95.580 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share was TWD 1.76 compared to TWD 1.59 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share was TWD 1.75 compared to TWD 1.59 a year ago. For the nine months, sales was TWD 2,285.477 million compared to TWD 2,410.512 million a year ago. Operating income was TWD 88.747 million compared to TWD 126.372 million a year ago. Net income was TWD 198.638 million compared to TWD 247.860 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share was TWD 3.31 compared to TWD 4.13 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share was TWD 3.3 compared to TWD 4.12 a year ago.
Formosa Optical Technology Co., Ltd. is a Taiwan-based company principally engaged in the provision of frames, optometry services for spectacles and contact lens, as well as the trading of eye drops. The Company provides frames, including optical frames and sunglasses frames; lenses, including near-sighted lenses, astigmatism lenses, far-sighted lenses, asymptotic multi-focal lenses and sunglasses lenses; contact lenses, including long wear contact lenses, disposable contact lenses, astigmatism contact lenses and corneal discoloration contact lenses, as well as various eye drops and optometry services. The Company distributes its products in the domestic market and to overseas markets.
