Formosa Optical Technology Co.,Ltd. reported earnings results for the third quarter and nine months ended September 30, 2022. For the third quarter, the company reported sales was TWD 895.58 million compared to TWD 659.61 million a year ago. Net income was TWD 93.68 million compared to TWD 73.83 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was TWD 1.56 compared to TWD 1.23 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share from continuing operations was TWD 1.56 compared to TWD 1.23 a year ago.
For the nine months, sales was TWD 2,431.11 million compared to TWD 2,038.05 million a year ago. Net income was TWD 138.47 million compared to TWD 170.43 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was TWD 2.31 compared to TWD 2.84 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share from continuing operations was TWD 2.3 compared to TWD 2.83 a year ago.
Formosa Optical Technology Co., Ltd. is a Taiwan-based company principally engaged in the provision of frames, optometry services for spectacles and contact lens, as well as the trading of eye drops. The Company provides frames, including optical frames and sunglasses frames; lenses, including near-sighted lenses, astigmatism lenses, far-sighted lenses, asymptotic multi-focal lenses and sunglasses lenses; contact lenses, including long wear contact lenses, disposable contact lenses, astigmatism contact lenses and corneal discoloration contact lenses, as well as various eye drops and optometry services. The Company distributes its products in the domestic market and to overseas markets.
