TORONTO (AP) _ Franco-Nevada Corp. (FNV) on Monday reported third-quarter net income of $157.1 million.

The Toronto-based company said it had net income of 82 cents per share. Earnings, adjusted for non-recurring costs, came to 83 cents per share.

The results exceeded Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of three analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 82 cents per share.

The precious metals streaming and royalty company posted revenue of $304.2 million in the period.
