BOULDER, Colo. (AP) _ Brickell Biotech, Inc. (BBI) on Tuesday reported a loss of $6.1 million in its fourth quarter.

On a per-share basis, the Boulder, Colorado-based company said it had a loss of 6 cents.

The results beat Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of three analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for a loss of 9 cents per share.

The drug developer posted revenue of $104,000 in the period, which missed Street forecasts. Three analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $206,000.

For the year, the company reported that its loss widened to $39.5 million, or 49 cents per share. Revenue was reported as $404,000.

The company's shares closed at 24 cents. A year ago, they were trading at $1.13.
