FRONTEO Inc. will hold an online seminar "Overview of US Trade Regulations" on February 2th, co-sponsored by US law firm Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP.

In this webinar, two experienced and knowledgeable lawyers will give lectures on several topics in US trade control law and their application to Japanese companies doing business in the United States.First, I will give an overview of US economic sanctions managed by the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) of the US Treasury.It provides examples of how sanctions apply to individuals and organizations, as well as the latest information on US sanctions law.Next, I will explain the US export restrictions managed by the Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS) of the US Department of Commerce.At the end of this webinar, we will give an overview of how Japanese companies can build best practices to comply with applicable US trade control laws.
