Future Plc, the global platform for specialist media, today takes the number one spot for gaming sites in the UK, according to Comscore.

Monthly visitors to GamesRadar.co.uk increased 36% MoM to 3.1m visitors, pushing it up from second place.

Future's gaming network as a whole is at number one in the UK for the second month running after taking the position in October with 28%MoM growth, compared to just 2% for the next-ranked network.

GamesRadar Editor in Chief Sam Loveridge said: 'Despite everything 2020 has thrown at us, the team at GamesRadar has pulled together to achieve our best year ever. Not only are we now the number 1 gaming site in the UK, but we've also pulled off another record year of traffic. It's a testament to how the team has really worked to understand our audience to continue delivering content that connects.'

Matt Pierce who heads up Future's Gaming vertical said: 'We deliver the gaming content that our audience wants, and this number one spot is testament to that. To be number one in such a highly competitive sector - and during the busiest and most exciting time for gaming ever - is an incredible achievement.

'In any year, organic growth like this would be cause for celebration, but huge credit to the team for achieving it during what's been such a challenging year for everyone. We're now looking forward to building on this growth globally - further evolving our content offering, for our audiences in the UK and the US.'

Future's gaming vertical has broken new ground this year - the first season of it's acclaimed collaboration with Barcroft Studios 'Totally Game', the unique gaming show that features some of the world's best gamers and reveals the amazing true stories from the gaming community, garnered over 23 million views across web and social, with feedback from across gaming brands helping steer content vision for Season 2

The vertical will also have a huge presence during Innovation Week (Jan 11-14) - the virtual exhibition Future is running as part of its role as media partner for the Consumer Electronics Show.

Normally held in Las Vegas and a recognised proving ground for breakthrough technologies and global innovators, the event is where the world's biggest brands do business and meet new partners.

Future's Innovation Week will run across the entire event and serve as a comprehensive destination for all its world beating tech and gaming brand's CES content, including news, multimedia content, exclusive technology partner programming, demos, news and video interviews.
