GRAPEVINE, Texas (AP) _ GameStop Corp. (GME) on Wednesday reported a loss of $61.6 million in its fiscal second quarter.

On a per-share basis, the Grapevine, Texas-based company said it had a loss of 85 cents. Losses, adjusted for non-recurring costs, were 76 cents per share.

The video game retailer posted revenue of $1.18 billion in the period.

GameStop shares have increased tenfold since the beginning of the year, while the S&P's 500 index has increased 20%. In the final minutes of trading on Wednesday, shares hit $198.89, rising twenty-fivefold in the last 12 months.
