Phillips Media Group, LLC agreed to acquire Five Publications in United States from Gannett Co., Inc. (NYSE:GCI) on August 19, 2021. The five publications includes The Big Nickel in Joplin, the Rolla Daily News, the Kirksville Daily Express, Baxter Bulletin in Mountain Home and the NEMO Trader in La Plata. The transaction is expected to close on September 1, 2021. Dirks, Van Essen & Murray acted as financial advisor to Gannett Co., Inc. (NYSE:GCI).
