RELEVANT EVENT GCC Chief Executive Officer Manuel Milan to retire on January 1, 2015; Board appoints Enrique Escalante, President of US Division, to become next CEO. Chihuahua, Chih., Mexico, September 05, 2014 - Grupo Cementos de Chihuahua, S.A.B. de C.V. (GCC) announces today the retirement of Mr. Manuel Antonio Milán Reyes as Chief Executive Officer of GCC, effective January 1 2015, after 30 year of service at the company. The Board of Directors has appointed as successor Mr. Héctor Enrique Escalante Ochoa.

Mr. Enrique Escalante has served as President of the U.S. Division since 2000, which represents two thirds of GCC sales; previously, he was President of the Mexico Division. These responsibilities have provided significant experience in the cement and ready mix industry. Prior to joining GCC, Escalante had more than 20 years' experience in management and sales positions in heavy industry and construction materials.
Escalante is a graduate of the Technologic Institute of Monterrey with an Engineering Degree and earned an MBA from Cornell University. Enrique has been member of the Young Presidents' Organization since 2003, and a past Chair of the Portland Cement Association (PCA). He is currently a Board member of the association, and the Chair of World Presidents Organization (WPO) - Rocky Mountain Chapter.
The Company also announces the appointment of Mr. Ron Henley as new President of the U.S. Division to succeed Enrique Escalante. Mr. Henley joined GCC in 2012 as Logistics Vice President of the U.S. Division, and since 2013 has held the position of Vice President of the Ready Mix business (U.S. Division) which has delivered strong performance. Prior to GCC, Mr. Henley held several director positions in the construction industry. He is a graduate of the University of Missouri with a Finance and Accounting Degree.
