TERNA SA: Signing of new contracts for private building projects in Greece

The total budget for private building projects to be executed by the company in Greece and abroad exceeds 500 million euros

TERNA SA, 100% subsidiary of GEK TERNA Group, has recently signed three new contracts for private building projects with the companies ANAPTIXI FRAGOKKLISIA REAL ESTATE SA (a subsidiary of Prodea Investments), NOVAL PROPERTY and BOEHRINGER INGELHEIM HELLAS SA.

Specifically they concern the following projects:

  • 1. TERNA SA has undertaken the first phase of construction of a five-storey office building complex, with ground floor shops and underground parking, for the company ANAPTIXI FRAGOKKLISIA REAL ESTATE SA (a subsidiary of Prodea Investments) in Marousi, Attica, with a total surface area of approximately 14,000 m2. The project includes excavation works, shoring and construction of the load-bearing structure for a high-specification, energy-efficient office building, with environmental certification of at least LEED GOLD, a total superstructure area 6,870 m2, and two levels of underground parking and auxiliary spaces with a surface area of 7,122 m2. The budget for the project amounts to EUR 3.5 million (plus VAT).

  • 2. TERNA SA has also undertaken the execution of additional construction and electromechanical works for a nine-storey shop and office building (superstructure surfacearea 17,131 m²) with six underground levels (surface area 19,435 m²) for a property belongingto NOVAL PROPERTY on Kifissias Avenue in Athens. The building is energy efficient and carries LEED PLATINUM environmental certification. The budget for ancillary building works amounts to 6.7 million euros (plus VAT), while the total budget for the projects undertaken by TERNA SA for the building, including contracts with tenants, amount to approximately 27.1 million euros (plus VAT).

  • 3. TERNA SA, in continuation of the renovation and expansion works for the manufacturing plant and the construction of new buildings on behalf of the pharmaceutical company Boehringer Ingelheim Hellas AE at Koropi, has undertaken the necessary construction and electromechanical works for the installation of additional equipment and the landscaping ofthe facility's surrounding grounds. The budget for ancillary building works amounts to 4.7

    million euros (plus VAT), while the total budget for the works undertaken by TERNA SA on behalf of the pharmaceutical company at its facilities in Koropi amount to approximately 31 million euros (plus VAT).

It should be noted that the total budget for private building projects which TERNA SA has undertaken, and for which works are currently in progress in Greece and abroad, amounts to more than 500 million euros. Apart from the aforementioned projects, TERNA SA has, among other works, undertaken the construction of the tourist accommodation complex Angsana Corfu, on behalf of KLC III HELLAS SA in Corfu, as well as two major building projects in Cyprus. These includethe hotel and casino complex 'City of Dreams Mediterranean', in Limassol, (a joint venture with

AVAX) and the second phase of the Ayia Napa Marina project in Cyprus, including the construction of luxury residential properties and a commercial zone. It is reminded that TERNA SA has recently delivered the first phase of this project, which includes all marine and infrastructure works, building facilities, internal roadworks and MEP installations.
