GEMADEPT : TO LAUNCH NEW SUPER DISTRIBUTION CENTER IN SONG THAN IP

Following the success of Distribution Center (DC) No.1 (8,800sqm, commencement in 2011) and DC No.2 (24,000sqm, commencement in 2012), Gemadept Corporation will put into operation new super Distribution Center No.3 in Song Than Logistics Center, Song Than IP 1, Di An, Binh Duong province with the area of 11,000 sqm.

This is one of the most state-of-the-art DCs in Vietnam with advantageous location situated in the heart of Southern focal economic zone (Hochiminh City - Binh Duong - Dong Nai). Gemadept's DC No.3 is invested with preeminent infrastructure and technology:

• Area of 11,000sqm; Ceiling height of 20m with 8 racking levels (each level of 1.9m in average) - being one of the highest DCs in Vietnam.
• Equipped with VNA (Very Narrow Aisle) racking system produced by Schaefer Germany with more than 18,000 pallet locations.
• VNA Reach-trucks manufactured by Linde Germany with handling capability of around 3,000 pallets / day.
• I-shaped in and out flowchart - quite convenient for DC operation, shortening operation time.
• In-bound loading gates for 14 containers and out-bound loading gates for 36 trucks at the same time.
• Dedicated area of 800 sqm for packaging, labeling and promotion services.
• 1,200 sqm cool storage area to be provided upon customers' requirement of cool storage.
• Modern and synchronous fire protection system meeting international standards including: heat/smoke detectors, centralized control system, 100% sprinklers.
• Insulated proof and ventilation ensuring DC temperature to be under 30⁰C. Skylight & led lighting system help saving energy.
• Infor WMS connected with RF barcode equipment to monitor exact time of cargo in and out.

Gemadept Corporation will put DC No.3 into operation, raising the Company's Southern DC system to over 80,000sqm, meeting the increasing demand of Logistics clients in the region.
