Representative of Gemadept talking about the advantages and challenges of Vietnam in developing Logistics Industry

The Vietnam Investment Forum 2014 (VIF 2014), themed "The Rise of Frontier and Emerging Markets and Opportunities for Vietnam?", officially opened at the White Palace, Ho Chi Minh City on June 19th 2014. This important event created a great chance for over 300 representatives of investment funds in Vietnam as well as investors from Japan, the US and Europe to meet and directly discuss with representatives of Vietnamese leading companies.

The VIF 2014 included various activities such as analysis of Vietnam stock market and opportunities for foreign investors by Mr. Vu Bang, Chairman of State Securities Commission of Vietnam; report of Mr. Nguyen Chi Dung, Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Planning and Investment; report of Mr. Do Nhat Hoang, Director of Foreign Investment Agency and many other economists and experts like Dr. Marc Faber, Mr. Thomas Hugger, Don Lam, Andy Ho, etc. Especially, one of the central activities of the event was the investment connection with direct discussion about matters being concerned by investors.

As a leading company in the sector of port operation and full-service logistics in Vietnam, Gemadept was one of the four enterprises being invited to participate in the part of investment connection. Gemadept representative's discussion on the overview of the industry as well as advantages and challenges for development of Logistics in Vietnam caught great interest of Investors and attracted wide press coverage.
