GE announced a series of changes to its senior leadership team. Jennifer VanBelle will expand her role to include serving as the Chief Executive Officer of GE Capital. VanBelle will also continue as Treasurer and will continue to report to Chief Financial Officer Carolina Dybeck Happe. VanBelle is a 20-year veteran of GE and has led company's treasury operations since 2018. Previously, she's held roles in risk, Capital Markets, and Treasury in GE Capital. Alec Burger, current Chief Executive Officer of GE Capital, will be retiring from GE after a 30-year career at the company. While GE Capital's risk management, legal structure, financial reporting and governance remain the same, operationally GE Capital Aviation Services will now report to GE Chairman and Chief Executive Officer H. Lawrence Culp, Jr. and North American Life Health will report to Dan Janki, who will serve as Chairman of that business. These reporting line changes will allow for even stronger line of sight to these businesses' operations. Russell Stokes has been named Chief Executive Officer and President of GE Aviation Services. In this newly created role, Stokes will report to GE Aviation President Chief Executive Officer John Slattery and integrate the commercial and operations teams by combining Aviation's Services organization with the Repair Overhaul sites around the world. Stokes will also serve as Chairman of GE Power Portfolio reporting to company’s Chairman and Chief Executive Officer H. Lawrence Culp, Jr. In this role he will leverage his knowledge of the industry to advise and help position the business for success. He is a 23-year GE veteran. Prior to this role, Stokes led GE Power, GE Power Portfolio, GE Energy Connections, GE Transportation and held senior roles at GE Aviation. Dan Janki has been named Chief Executive Officer of GE Power Portfolio, in addition to his work as Chairman of NALH. As Chief Executive Officer of GE Power Portfolio, Janki will oversee the Steam Power, GE Hitachi Nuclear Energy and Power Conversion businesses. Janki has more than 25 years of experience at the company working in a variety of senior roles at GE Energy, GE Capital, GE Global Operations and GE Corporate. Chris Pereira will expand his role to include Vice President of Strategy. In this role, Pereira will look at strategic imperatives and industry trends impacting GE's future. Pereira will also continue as GE Chief Risk Officer. Pereira joined GE in 2007 and has held a series of leadership roles in legal. Prior to joining the company, he served as Vice President and Secretary for Exelixis Inc. and was an associate at Sullivan Cromwell LLP.
