Due to low hydro inflows and ongoing gas production issues, Genesis is taking steps to secure the additional resources required to make a third Rankine available to the market, for operation in a limited capacity, from 22 February 2021 until 30 September 2021. During this time, Genesis expects it will be able to run all three Rankine Units, along with Units 5 and 6, concurrently for limited periods of time, subject to staff availability, any operational constraints and resource consent requirements. POCP will continue to be updated.
