Gentera S.A.B. de C.V. Reports Earnings Results for the Third Quarter and Nine Months Ended September 30, 2016

Gentera S.A.B. de C.V. reported earnings results for the third quarter and nine months ended September 30, 2016. For the quarter, the company reported net income of MXN 918 million, a 4.1% increase compared with the net income of MXN 882 million for the same period a year ago. NIM stood at 57.2% compared to 58.2% a year ago. ROE was 24.8% compared to 28.8% a year ago. ROA was 9.3% compared to 10.3% a year ago.
For nine months, the company reported net income of MXN 2,870 million, a 25.3% growth compared with nine months of 2015.
Gentera SAB de CV (Gentera), formerly Compartamos SAB de CV, is a Mexico-based financial institution specialized in banking and credit services. Genteraâs main activities are: granting loans and credits to communal banks, community groups, low-income individuals; offering saving accounts, insurance policies, administration and human resources services, making payments of family remittance and granting operation with securities and other financial instruments.
