The Board of Geopacific Resources Ltd (Geopacific or the Company; ASX: GPR) is pleased to announce two key appointments as it progresses towards construction of the Woodlark Project in Papua New Guinea.

Commencement of New Company Secretary

Mike Meintjes has been appointed as Company Secretary with effect from 1 February 2021. Mike is an experienced governance specialist having first qualified as a Chartered Accountant and worked for over 30 years with a Big Four accounting firm. During this period he spent three and a half years with Ernst & Young in Papua New Guinea based in Port Moresby

Since 2012, Mike has held a number of part-time roles principally in the resource sector where he has acted as Company Secretary. Mike is currently the company secretary for Alligator Energy Limited (ASX: AGE) and Resource Generation Limited (ASX: RES).

Commencement of Project Director

Graeme Rapley has also been appointed as Project Director with oversight of all construction activities on Woodlark Island. A civil engineer with over 20 years of international experience, Graeme is a highly qualified project execution specialist having delivered projects in the Caucasus, West Africa, South East Asia and Papua New Guinea. His most recent role being Project Director for the Oksut Project, owned by Centerra Gold, which was completed under budget and ahead of schedule.
