As a part of their continued commitment to supporting local schools and workforce development, German American has announced they will be sponsoring a financial literacy program for Glasgow Christian Academy. The goal is to equip students with money management and career skills through their Money Smart financial education curriculum. The sponsorship includes a monetary donation and resources for teachers to lead the courses.
When presented with the opportunity to sponsor financial literacy for the Glasgow Christian Academy, we were excited to offer our support. Ensuring that students have the knowledge and resources that they need to succeed financially is great not only for their future, but for the future of our communities," states Karisa Peterson, German American Market Executive serving Glasgow and the surrounding areas.
German American's Money Smart Curriculum is a comprehensive set of modules that cover financial education topics for students of all ages. Topics for high school students include identifying career options and sources of income, financial planning, building savings, credit, responsibilities of renting vs. owning, and protecting yourself from identity fraud.
