GERRY WEBER with new interim head of IT with immediate effect: Peter K. Albrecht takes over from Stefan Beyler

Halle/Westphalia, 19 January 2022 - The GERRY WEBER Group is starting the new year with a new head for the IT department: IT management expert Peter K. Albrecht (59) took over the position of Director Group IT from the previous IT head Stefan Beyler (58) on an interim basis today, Wednesday.

The change is based on Stefan Beyler's personal wish to spend more time in Wiesbaden again, where he lives. He had been Director Group IT in Halle since June 2018: "We would like to thank Stefan very much for his work over the past years - especially during the difficult period of insolvency and restructuring," said CFO Florian Frank. "Furthermore, Stefan has brought us a significant step forward on the topic of cyber security and navigated us safely through an attempted attack last summer. We regret that Stefan is no longer part of the team and wish him all the best for his future path, both personally and professionally!" Stefan Beyler founded the Cyber Defence Cooperation (CDC) only last autumn, which includes numerous well-known fashion and textile companies from Germany. This will be continued under Florian Frank.

Peter K. Albrecht will be in charge of IT at GERRY WEBER until a permanent successor is found. The interim manager was among others CIO for Fielmann AG and Head of Technology for Edeka. "With Peter K. Albrecht, we have been able to gain a very versatile IT Director," Florian Frank is pleased to say. "With his focus on agilisation, business intelligence, IT governance, security, DSGVO and sourcing, his portfolio is currently a perfect fit for the challenges we want to overcome or tackle at GERRY WEBER." The search for a permanent IT Director has already been initiated.
