On September 13, 2016, GitLab Inc. closed the transaction. The series B round of funding led by new investor August Capital Master Management Company, LLC. The transaction also involved participation from existing investors Khosla Ventures, LLC, and Y Combinator Management LLC. The company raised $18,825,092 in funding pursuant to exemption provided under Regulation D from 14 investors.
