Rayong Central Utility Plants 1-3 reported earnings results for the second quarter and first half year ended June 30, 2018. For the quarter, the company reported total revenue of THB 3,521 million against THB 3,218 million for the same period a year ago. This is because the increase in electricity and steam sales volume due to maintenance shutdown from main customers in the second quarter of 2017 together with the increase in industrial customers demand and higher Ft rate in the second quarter of 2018. Gross profit was THB 984 million against THB 868 million for the same period a year ago. When comparing the gross profit with the second quarter of 2017, the gross profit in the second quarter of 2018 increased by THB 116 million or 13% due to the increase in electricity and steam sales volume after maintenance shutdown of customers in the second quarter of 2017, together with the increase in demand from industrial customers and the higher Ft rate in the second quarter of 2018. For the first half year, the company reported total revenue of THB 6,913 million against THB 6,299 million for the same period a year ago. This is because the increase in electricity and steam sales volume due to maintenance shutdown of main customers in the first half of 2017 together with the increase in industrial customers demand and higher Ft rate. Gross profit was THB 1,944 million against THB 1,693 million for the same period a year ago. In addition, gross profit in the first half of 2018 increased by THB 251 million or 15% from the first half of 2017 due to the increase in electricity and steam sales volume resulted from maintenance shutdown of main customers in first half of 2017 together with the increase in industrial users demand and the higher Ft rate in the first half of 2018.
