Sriracha Power Plant reported earnings results for the second quarter and first half year ended June 30, 2018. For the quarter, the company reported total revenue from selling electricity of THB 1,281 million against THB 1,653 million for the same period a year ago. Total revenue decreased by THB 372 million or 23% from the second quarter of 2017. Since, there was a decrease in revenue from Energy Payment (EP) due to the drop in dispatch volume by 255Gigawatt-Hours or 37% according to EGAT's dispatch instruction. Gross profit was THB 199 million against THB 197 million for the same period a year ago. The gross profit for the second quarter of 2018 slightly increased by THB 2 million or 1% compared to the second quarter of 2017 due to the decrease in hourly operating maintenance cost resulting from the lower dispatched volume instructed by Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (EGAT). For the first half year, the company reported total revenue from selling electricity of THB 2,046 million against THB 3,511 million for the same period a year ago. Total revenue in the first half of 2018 decreased by THB 1,465 million or 42% from the first half of 2017. This is because there was a the drop in dispatch volume by 903 Gigawatt-Hours or 60% according to EGAT's dispatch instruction. Gross profit was THB 353 million against THB 342 million for the same period a year ago. In addition, gross profit for first half of 2018 increased by THB 11 million or 3% compared to the first half of 2017 due to the decrease in hourly operating maintenance cost followed lower dispatch volume according to EGAT's instruction.
