COVINGTON, La. (AP) _ Globalstar Inc. (GSAT) on Thursday reported a loss of $21.4 million in its second quarter.

On a per-share basis, the Covington, Louisiana-based company said it had a loss of 1 cent.

The satellite communications company posted revenue of $30.3 million in the period.

The company's shares closed at $1.29. A year ago, they were trading at 37 cents.
