The results beat Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of six analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for a loss of 35 cents per share.

For the year, the company reported that its loss widened to $57.9 million, or $1.34 per share.

The company's shares closed at $3.49. A year ago, they were trading at $12.21.
