Goodman, alongside the Roissy-en-France Urban Area Community Council (CARPF) and the land developer RHEA, announces its new logistics park for the Ile-de-France region, located in the municipality of Mesnil-Amelot.

The logistics park is unique in size, comprising three separate buildings of 43,000 sqm, 49,000 sqm and 98,000 sqm respectively, occupying a total area of 37 hectares.

Planning permission for building and environmental permits will be filed in the first quarter of 2019 as Goodman prepares to meet the requirements of its prospective customers.

An outstanding location served by growing infrastructure investment

The park is situated in the municipality of Le Mesnil-Amelot within the urban development zone of Chapelle de Guivry and adjacent to Paris' major airport - Paris Charles-de-Gaulle and just 27 kilometres to the centre of Paris.

Ideally located between the highway A1 and the Route National 2, the site is bordered by the future East Roissy bypass - a continuation of the 'greater Paris Super Express Way' (RN1104) - and the logistics centre will be connected by a full interchange.

In addition, the site will benefit from the terminus station of the Grand Paris Express rail line that is planned to be completed in 2024, facilitating an easy commute for the park's future workforce.

An innovative concept for a landmark project

The director of Goodman France, Philippe Arfi, said, 'This project at Le Mesnil-Amelot will be an opportunity for Goodman to provide our customers with leading-edge logistics facilities in a highly-sought after location, showcasing all of our expertise in the development of logistics centres around the world.'

Each building is designed with the customer in mind, from both a design and functional perspective. They will feature green spaces not only on the external façade, but also on the various terraces around the office areas of the buildings.

Equipped with sensors, these 'smart' buildings will enable to significantly improve the energy performance and manage energy consumption more efficiently. Goodman is set to achieve a BREEAM Excellent certificate for the development.

Philippe Arfi concluded, 'We are honoured that CARPF, Roissy Development and RHEA have again placed their trust in us, confirming our significant contribution to the economic development of the area.'
